PLACE/Ladywell/Workshop
PlaceMaking workshop at Place/Ladywell, for Lewisham Council.
Conducted next to a demolition site of a former south London leisure centre, this workshop was situated within a consultation space and was part of an ongoing urban regeneration program that aimed to enable local people to speculate on ideas for the future site and wider area.
Excavated artefacts and debris from the site were recycled as modelling materials and bonded using Sugru to form new and playful objects, architecture and ideas. The workshop aims to engage people directly with place through using forgotten and discarded materials as a tool for conceptualising a future space and environment.
